After welcoming over 10,000 visitors in our very first year, we are delighted to announce that Ireland’s most exciting new festive family experience, The Christmas Express, returns for 2026 — bigger, better, and more magical than ever.
This November and December, step into the enchanting grounds of Mount Druid Estate, Castletown Geoghegan, Co. Westmeath, where a beautifully reimagined festive experience awaits.
Hop aboard The Christmas Express and journey into a world of wonder — from the twinkling paths of Elven Wood to a series of immersive festive moments designed to surprise, delight, and transport you into the true spirit of Christmas.
Along the way, you won’t just be watching the magic… you’ll be part of it.
Make your first stop at Santa’s Workshop, where his busy elves are hard at work fixing toys and wrapping presents — and they may need a helping hand to get everything ready in time for Christmas Eve.
Continue your journey to Santa’s Sleigh Port, the very place where his sleigh prepares for take-off each year. Keep your eyes peeled… you never know what you might discover.
Then step inside Santa and Mrs. Claus’ home, where Mrs. Claus is busy preparing festive treats — and once again, little helpers may be called upon to lend a hand.
Throughout the journey, children will become part of the story — helping to prepare for Christmas in small but magical ways.
You may also find yourself writing a letter in Santa’s Sorting Office and sending it through the magical Mail Portal… and for those who land on a very special list… watch the skies!
As your journey unfolds, enjoy beautifully crafted scenes, atmospheric lighting, and evolving storytelling, all leading to a truly special Christmas destination. Outside Santa’s Grotto, take in a stunning lakeside moment featuring a state-of-the-art festive water display — one final touch of magic to complete your experience.
